Ayew inspires kids at uniBank Football clinic

By Daniel ODURO
THE maiden edition of the uniBank Football Clinic came off last Saturday at the Junction Mall in Accra.

The event brought together hundreds of school children in and around the Tema, Teshie and Nungua environs, who were given a talk, and offered the rare opportunity to interact with some of the Black Stars players.
The football clinic put together by uniBank was under the theme ‘Pass the Inspiration’, and was headlined by uniBank brand ambassador Andre Ayew.
Andre was assisted by some of his national team colleagues, such as Mubarak Wakaso and John Boye. Former Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah, was also there to offer support.
Speaking at the event, the vice-captain of the Black Stars, Andre Ayew, admonished the kids to remain focused in life and also pursue their dreams vigorously.
He also advised the kids, who were drawn from all walks of life, to take their education seriously even if they have aspirations of becoming professional athletes in the future.
“I am here to tell you that never allow anyone to stop you from dreaming big or aspiring for more. You are the future leaders of this country and you can achieve anything you want if you stay focused. The only advice I have is that whatever you decide to do, do it but never abandon your education. Education is important and you are blessed that your parents have seen the importance of sending you to school,” He said.
On his part, Executive Director of uniBank, Mr. Owusu-Ansah Awere, said his outfit is looking forward to the next edition of the clinic and would work hard to make this an annual affair.
He said the bank believe in empowering the youth and will events that offer hope to the teaming masses of young men and women out there.
