Residents of AssinFosu grateful to Bright Addae

RESIDENTS of Assin Fosu in the Assin North District of the Central Region have expressed their appreciation to 2009 U-20 World Cup winner, Bright Addae, for his philanthropic gesture.

The 24 year-old defender, popularly known as the ‘The Wall’, through his Foundation, distributed assorted drinks, boxes of indomie, bags of rice, oil, toiletries and water to the poor and needy as part of efforts to give back to society.
Speaking on behalf of residents, the Municipal Chief Executive of Assin Fosu, Kofi Baako, said “this is very remarkable and we are all very grateful for his noble gesture”.
The player indicated that ‘‘this is the just beginning of better things to come’’.
After the presentation, a friendly match was organised by a selected side from Assin Fosu and some friends of Bright Addae which saw the Bright Addae select side winning 3-2.
The match, which drew many spectators to the Fosu Training College Park, was not marred by the initial heavy downpour.
The Principal of the School, Dr. Nana Kwaku Asiedu, congratulated the winners and commended Addae for the good show he has extended to the community.
