Information reaching The Finder indicates that Daniel Nii Adjei is likely to join Kumasi Asante Kotoko for the 2017/18 season after the player parted ways with TP Mazembe.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain parted ways with 2017 Africa Confederation Cup winners TP Mazembe after five incredible years with them. He made a public announcement on his Facebook handle which read,
“Glory glory hallelujah, I came to Congo as a stranger and now I’m leaving as a hero. I thank God for a successful five seasons in TP Mazembe which ends today.
“God has been good to me for winning everything that is in football [club football in Africa]. I can’t say much but all I say is thank you Lord. Thank you Lord, all I have to say is thank you lord”, he added.
Daniel Nii Adjei spent five seasons with TP Mazembe, winning a lot of laurels, including three continental titles. He won one CAF Champions League title and two CAF Confederation Cup titles.
With Asante Kotoko’s Africa campaign next season in the CAF Confederation Cup, Daniel Nii Adjei’s experience in the club competition may be needed to boost the squad as they prepare for Africa.
Asante Kotoko has already begun preseason with the return of their coach, Steve Pollack, who went for a short holiday in the United Kingdom after their MTN FA Cup triumph over archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
The Finder’s sources at the club reveal that the technical team is considering making their former player one of their top transfer targets as Steve Pollack will like to acquire the services of the experienced player.
The 29-year-old was very instrumental in TP Mazembe’s CAF Confederation Cup win as he scored one of the two goals that helped TP Mazembe to retain their title against SuperSport United.
Daniel Nii Adjei joined the team in 2013 from Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
