Anthony Annan eyes Black Stars return

• Sweeps three awards in Finland
Anthony Annan is eyeing a return to the senior national football team, the Black Stars, after an outstanding performance this season with Finnish giants HJK Helsinki.

Anthony Annan helped Helsinki to win the Finnish Veikkauslinga leading him to pick three awards after the season.
The former Schalke player was voted the best midfielder in the Finland league, best player by the Sports Writer’s Association of Finland and the Club President’s best player award.
The 31-year old after this impressive performance is still knocking on the doors of Kwesi Appiah to hand him a call up.
Meanwhile, Anthony Annan is urging the current Hearts of Oak players to turn the fortunes of the club around by winning a trophy for the team next season. Hearts of Oak have gone trophy less for eight seasons now.
Speaking on Hot FM sports morning show he said, when I was with the club I came to meet some players and we were able to win a trophy. I will beg the current players to help turn the fortunes of the club around by winning a trophy for the team next season.
“I plead with the current players to up their game and win the league for Hearts of Oak because it has been too long. I still contact the club especially Hackman and ask him about the affairs of the club. Hearts is a club that wins trophies.
He also mentioned that he might end his career with Hearts of Oak before he hangs his boots.
Anthony Annan has one year left on his contract with HJK Helsinki. He revealed he will be meeting his agent before he decides his next move.
Annan is likely to stay with the club and will play in the UEFA Champions League in the 2018-2019 season.
Annan made 28 appearances in the 2017/18 league season for HJK scoring three goals.
