adb reconstitutes Board

Agriculture Development Bank (adb) has reconstituted its Board of Directors with effect from August 1, 2017.

According to a circular from the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), the nine member board is chaired by experienced legal practitioner and former secretary to the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Mr Alex Bernasko.

Patrick Kingsley Nyinah who is the Deputy Managing Director of Belstar Capital, one of the largest shareholders of adb is the Vice Chairman.

Other members of the Board are Kwabena Dapaah-Siakwan, a Chartered Accountant and a former Banker who is also the Executive Chairman of XF Petroleum; Nana Ama Serwaa Bonsu, a Sales, Marketing and Business Development Executive and Dr. Adu Anane Antwi, Lawyer and Chartered Accountant and former Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The rest are Frank Kwame Osei, Executive Chairman of Nationwide Group; Professor David Abdulai, Founding President and CEO of African Graduate School of Management and Leadership; George Kwabena Abankwa-Yeboah, Pharmacist and CEO of Sharp Pharmaceuticals and Dr. John Kofi Mensah, MD of the bank. Dr. John Kofi Mensah was appointed MD of the Bank by the President in July 2017.

ADB is one of the 10 banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. It is presently trading at GH¢3.83 per share.
